My 6th grade perspective on WEB

This is the 3rd year that WEB has been in Crabapple Middle School, in case you didn’t know WEB is a large group of 8th grade students who have volunteered to come into all of our 6th grade homeroom classes. We are split up into two separate groups, one half of the homeroom and then the other half of the homeroom. Our WEB leaders do some fun activities, ( and some not so fun activities ) however, overall WEB is a good program.

Next week it will be either the 5th or 6th week of WEB, personally my WEB leaders are nice and provide good activities for our group (shoutout to Lana, Hamilton, and Hellia). I feel as if maybe we could make some of the activities more entertaining. An example is, a few weeks ago ( last week :) ) our WEB leaders were teaching us about how we should ask questions more, and while we did a fun activity we were just asking questions about what our WEB leaders were drawing.

Now, I'm not speaking only for myself, but also for the rest of the 6th grade. I know many people in the 6th grade, not only from my elementary school (Mountain Park) , however also from the many other schools that filter into Crabapple and I know that many, many of the 6th graders are really… needy? And they want it too be fun all of the time, and no, I'm not saying that in WEB it should be fun all the time, I'm saying maybe change it up a bit? I understand you need to get to the point sometimes and there might not be time for all fun and games, however maybe if you made a game a little bit more… different and unique from all the other WEB groups 6th graders would talk more about WEB and have fun. If I'm being completely honest I personally know 6th graders who are always like: “ Awww dang it! I have WEB today!”. All I'm saying is maybe be creative and unique and us 6th graders could be more like: “ Yay! I have WEB today! “ Overall you could maybe be more unique and different from the other WEB groups so us 6th graders could be looking forward to WEB instead of not wanting to have WEB.
