Staff Connectivity

• This network is not just for staff use.  For example, it is also used to provide internet access for Promethean Panels.  Loading speeds may vary depending on how many devices are connected.

• When connected to FCS-OpenGuest you are still subject to our internet filters and firewalls.

  • This network should NOT be used for streaming, social media, etc. 

  • Misuse of BYOT will lead to your device being disconnected.

• Please understand that we (FCS Tech) are limited in the support that we can provide to personal devices. 

BONUS: Be mindful of when you are using your personal device throughout the school day.  Not using your personal device during instructional times may support student compliance of the new cell phone policy.

• When will I need to complete 2-step verification?  

  • Signing into your Google Account on a new device 

  • After changing your password

• I have to do 2-step everyday.  Why?!?

  • To prevent being prompted for 2-step verification every day you need to make sure you have synced your Google Account

    • Avoid removing your Google Account from your teacher desktop

    • Do not unsync/sign out of your Google Account every day.
