Watch this video to learn more about the Global Classroom Project and how you can join this exciting program with your students!
This is the foundational partnership where a teacher in a Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) school teams up with a teacher in a school outside the United States.
The focus is entirely on participating in the GCP activities within their individual classrooms.
Collaboration is virtual, directly between the participating teachers and their students.
All teachers in this partnership follow GCP guidelines and create a collaborative GCP plan using the provided framework.
This more extensive partnership involves at least two Classroom to Classroom Partnerships between an FCPS school and a school in another country.
These individual classroom pairings can involve any teachers, grade levels, and GCP pathway.
A School-to-School partnership will expand the chances for students to engage with diverse cultures and build a more robust relationship between our institutions.
This expansion may offer teachers professional development opportunities, travel (independent of GCP funding), and additional resources to support global learning school-wide.
Free to participate: No financial commitment is required for your school to join the GCP.
Expand your students' horizons: Students gain firsthand experience with different cultures, fostering global understanding and appreciation.
Boost 21st-century skills: Collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving become essential tools as students work with international peers.
Enrich curriculum and teaching: The GCP integrates seamlessly into various subjects, offering fresh and engaging ways to deliver content.
