Virtual Meetings

Be Prepared

• Have everything you need to 'attend' the meeting (device, headphones if you want, paper, pencil, etc)

• Be on time or even a little early

Etiquette

• Mute your mic unless you are speaking

• Find a quiet place to meet.

• Sign in with the name your teacher uses while in class (and sign in with school accounts, not personal accounts)

• Be aware of what is showing in your background

• Be aware of the background noise

• Cameras on is preferred, especially when you are speaking

• Sit up and look at the camera

• Use the online tools to ask for help

• Use the chat as directed by the teacher

Citizenship

• Remember school rules still apply

• Be polite

• Be respectful of everyone's privacy

• Don't talk over someone else

Tips & Tricks

• Inexpensive headset with microphone can help with background noise

• If you have network issues, turn your camera off

• Use the spotlight layout or pin the teacher

• Exit out and come back in

• Restart your computer or chromebook

• If Chrome isn’t working on a computer try another browser, such as Firefox
