Homework

Homework is a great way to practice responsibility and will be considered as part of students’ demonstration of effort in each subject. Homework should take no more than 50 minutes for students to finish.

If your child is struggling to complete his or her homework or it simply gets forgotten (it happens!), he or she will ALWAYS have from 8:00 to 8:30 every morning to complete any unfinished homework or ask for my help in the classroom.

Expectations:

• Homework is assigned Monday-Thursday
  • Reading: 20 minutes
  • Math: Calendar, worksheet, activity
  • Writing: Occasional writing in response to reading or creative writing assignment

Agendas

• Students will write their homework in the agenda each day
• You initial each night
• I will check agendas each morning
• Notes from me to you
