****IMPORTANT PLEASE READ FIRST****
Thank you for coming out to audition for the spring musical! Every time that a show is cast, difficult decisions have to be made. We are so lucky to work with such incredibly kind & talented people on a daily basis.
Casting decisions were based off of the following factors:
Dance (ability to learn a complex routine in a scheduled amount of time, energy, and general movement)
Vocals (vocal range, tone, pitch, and focus)
Cold readings (stage presence, response to direction, and character)
Schedules & availability
Leadership on/off the stage.
Please keep in mind the following as well:
- If you did not get cast in the role you auditioned for, please don’t give up! Not everyone can play the lead, but everyone can work together to make this show a success!
- It's not what you do, it's how you did it. Consider this before dropping the show if you disagree with our casting decisions. Your reputation speak volumes & will affect future casting decisions.
- Support one another and do not steal someone else’s joy. NO BUCKET DIPPERS!
- Please refrain from posting negative comments about casting decisions, or students in these roles, on social media or to other students/staff. Word travels fast to the director, so be careful what you say/send.
Please respectfully refrain from reaching out to Ms. Peterson about casting decisions for at least 24 hours. If you do not see your name on the cast list and you auditioned, please alert Ms. Peterson ASAP.
Attendance for the first rehearsal/table read on Monday January 17th is mandatory for all cast + leadership on tech crew. Your attendance will indicate whether you accept or reject your role.
