NAHS Eligibility Requirements & Expectations

In 1978, the National Art Education Association began the National Art Honor Society (NAHS) program specifically for high school students, grades 10-12, for the purpose of inspiring and recognizing those students who have shown an outstanding ability in art. The NAHS strives to aid members in working toward the attainment of the highest standards in art areas, and to bring art education to the attention of the school and community.

To become a member of the NAHS, the following requirements must be met:

*Once your completed application is received, the NAHS adviser(s) will obtain a copy of your unofficial transcript to verify you meet the minimum GPA requirements.

*Completion of the application and requirements does not guarantee a student entrance into NAHS. The students’ application and requirements will be reviewed by the Catoctin High School Art Department. Other factors will be considered in selecting a member's scholarship, character, attendance, classroom behavior, office referrals, and service to school and community.

**Communication with NAHS members will take place in the approved FCPS LMS Schoology. https://lms.fcps.org/
