The safety of your students is a priority for us. To ensure the safety of our medication administration management, please read our process below.
Any time you drop off or pick up a medication in the health room, a Medication Delivery/Pick Up Form will be completed and signed by both the parent/guardian and the School Health Aide or FCCPS staff member. This form will document that all required authorizations are complete, and the number of pills or amount of medication accepted/returned. A copy of the form will be given to the parent/guardian and school administrator.
Medications received will be verified to ensure the description of the medication on the container/packaging matches the medication in the container.
All medications must be in the original pharmacy container. Over the counter (OTC) medications must be in the unopened original container. It will no longer be acceptable for parents/guardians to bring in refills from home and place them into the container currently in the health room.
Only a 30-day supply of medications should be brought to school. No more than 100 tablets or pills of OTC medication should be brought to school.
Two inhaler forms will now be required for any student bringing in an inhaler. The Virginia Asthma Action Plan must be completed and signed by a health care provider, and the Falls Church City Public Schools Authorization for Virginia Asthma Action Plan will be signed by a parent or guardian upon medication drop-off.
We thank you for your support as we return to school. Please contact your School Health Aide, Kelly Miceli (micelik@fccps.org) at Henderson or Melinda Heath (pasupulatim@fccps.org) at Meridian.

Please be patient and take your time. Pedestrians, bikers, buses, kiss & ride cars, student cars, employee cars, and commuter traffic are all sharing the same sidewalks and roadways.
Mustang Alley is restricted to Buses Only during arrival and dismissal. At all other times it is one way with the entrance at Haycock Rd and exit at Leesburg Pike (Route 7).
Pedestrians and bike riders approaching campus should use the crosswalk at Mustang Alley to the Pedestrian Path along Mustang Alley. Bike riders must walk their bikes on campus.
The Leesburg Pike (Route 7) sidewalk is closed due to construction activity.
The Food Services Department offers three lunch entrees with a choice of vegetables and fruit each school day. Also available are pre-packaged cold sandwiches. You can put money on your student's lunch account through myschoolbucks or by dropping off cash/check to the food services department (located on the Secondary Campus).
If you would like information on the free and reduced lunch program, please view this link.
Call the Food Service Office at 703-248- 5534 or contact Richard Kane, Director of Food Services with questions or concerns.
