We’re thrilled to share that our Let Me Run program had a fantastic fall season! This season, we had 25 boys who put in dedication, effort, and teamwork. They’ll wrap up their journey with a culminating 5K race in Fairfax this Sunday. Let’s cheer them on and celebrate their hard work!
Congratulations to our students and staff who received the IB Learner Profile Trait Reflective Award. They work to understand their strengths and weaknesses in order to support their learning and personal development.

Hi 6th Grade Families!
As we strive to provide the most access possible, it is very important to us that our newest families are up to date on programs and services that we offer.
With this in mind, we want to take this chance to outline a tool that we utilize here in FCCPS in hopes to remove certain academic barriers. This tool is called Brainfuse. Brainfuse is a program that we contract with that provides free, live, real time tutoring services to secondary students in all subject areas. Here's how to access this amazing resource! Students must use their FCCPS Google account to log in at: bit.ly/43cUb5R Questions? Feel free to reach out to me (Rob Carey) and I can help support!
We hope you have a great weekend and a special thank you to our Veterans for their service.
Sincerely,
Rob Carey

Hello 7th and 8th Grade Families,
One of the special events we have here at Henderson is holding Town Hall meetings organized by our Student Council Association (SCA). The SCA connects with their peers to gather topics that are meaningful to their grade level, compiling these for discussion during a Town Hall meeting. This week, on Monday and Tuesday, our 7th and 8th graders shared their thoughts on technology usage, lunch, and recess. We value hearing student voices, and we’re grateful to our SCA for organizing these discussions and to our student body for their active participation.
As we approach Veterans Day, I want to take a moment to recognize and thank all of our Veterans. On Monday, we honor those who have served, and we extend our deepest gratitude for your service to our country.
Warm regards,
Adam White
