Yes there will be multiple stair options allowing vertical movement through the school, elevators will also be provided for ADA needs

Sustainability

What types of materials are used for parking?

Permeable asphalt paving

Is a reuse system, capture rain water and reuse in sink/toilets, on the table with FCCPS?

We do not currently have rainwater re-use in the design. However, we are implementing other LEED and sustainable strategies throughout our project to achieve at a minimum Gold status and be net zero ready.

Are CO2 sensors being used in rooms? Is there a consideration to use occupancy and vacancy sensors instead?

CO2 sensors are used to determine appropriate ventilation air requirements for each space. Use of occupancy/vacancy sensor would require a greater use of energy as a sensor does not determine if there is a single person versus a full classroom. CO2 sensors allow the building to put the ventilation air where the population is.

Could we take air quality samples of the area? What filters are being used?

The new building will utilize geothermal wells and will include air filters to ensure air quality.

Who will select company who designs & installs geothermal heat pump system?

Gilbane, the selected contractor, will purchase this scope as a part of our project delivery.
