Six flags fright fest

Tips from Ford on how to not get scared:

Stay away from any bushes or tunnels, a specific tunnel by scorcher people because they go behind the walls and jump out at you to scare you. But the good thing is they will give you bags to go trick or treating and you can decorate tiny pumpkins. Down in a kiddy area by the arcade you can do a corn maze and get more candy. There are special shows for 15 year olds and up one for SAW 20 and STRANGER THINGS near Goliath and Daredevil.

STAY away from any bushes or tunnels if you go in a tunnel and there are scarecrows be prepared, maybe run?

HALLOWEEN TRAIL MIX

Do you like sweet treats? Do you like salty snacks?

I have the perfect Halloween goodie for you. I have

the perfect sweet and salty snack called Halloween

Trailmix.

This is a very fun snack for you to make at home.

This is a very good gift for a friend. You can put all

of these ingredients into a Halloween themed bag. I hope you enjoy this Halloween treat.

You will need candy corn, M&M’s, pretzels, mini chocolate chips and mini marshmallows.

1 bag of Halloween M&Ms
1 cup of pumpkin candy corn
2 cups of pretzels
1 cup of mini marshmallows
1 cup of mini chocolate chips

Mix all ingredients together in a big bowl and enjoy!

The Fall Festival

On Friday October 4th we had our Fall Festival. Many families turned up to have fun and spend time together.

There were lots of bounce houses. The most popular bounce house was the Ninja Obstacle course. For this one you need a partner to race.

New this year to the Fall Festival is a Dunk Tank! The house leaders got dunked by throwing a ball at the target.

I dyed my hair, ate cotton candy, and climbed the rock wall!

Interview with Mrs. Lisa

I have a chance to meet the leader of the Fall Festival. When I asked Mrs. Albritton about how long it takes to plan the Fall Festival. She said it took almost five months to plan! She has to start with coordinating all the people that bring all of the fun things like bouncy houses, animals, a huge rock climbing wall and all the food. Mrs. Albritton is so lucky that she has amazing volunteers to make the Fall Festival special. She said the Fall Festival has a certain amount of money to spend on all the fun stuff. They hope to make more than what they spent to help our teachers and the staff.

MHS Homecoming

Have you ever been to McIntosh High School Homecoming? Homecoming is a big event that happens every year in high school! It’s a lot of fun, this is why you should have gone…

There was a parade on Thursday, October 17 with floats from lots of clubs and sports including the Chiefettes, Cheerleaders, and football players. The band and chorus were there too.
There was a huge football game on Friday, October 18 and a dance the following night! At the football game they played Banneker High School … and WON! It was an exciting end and the final score was 29-22.
At the game they announced the Homecoming court. That's exciting! DRUM ROLL……… Homecoming king is Edward Yang and Homecoming queen is Ella Weldon!

The Homecoming game and parade was a lot of fun. Hope you went! Below are several pictures from the weekend. Enjoy!

Flat Rock Volleyball

Their team name is the Eagles. The flat rock volleyball team has 5 wins and 4 loses. They have 10 people in the game at the same time and 10 people out of the game.They have played Whitewater Middle and beat them 20 to 25.They beat Blackwater 25 to 13.the coach is Ben Thaker, he has a winning team. He is a good coach. He has led his team to 5 wins and 4 loses.They did not win the championship but it was a good game. They lost against the Panthers. The Panthers have not lost a game in the whole season so the Panthers won.They were sad but they were so proud that they tried their best. The best player on their team won the game for them 3 times. They practice 4 hours and have 1 break. They have won the Championship 4 times before this. They are one of the best teams.

Sandy Creek Homecoming

The Sandy Creek Patriots are a great football team. They are ranked #44 in the state of Georgia, with the record 8-1. Their best rusher on the team is Amari Latimer with 923 rushing yards this season. Amari is ranked #23 in the state of Georgia for most rushing yards. Their homecoming game was October 18th at 7:30. The parade for Sandy Creek was October 17th. The homecoming game is against Whitewater High School. The game ended at the score of 28-21. THEY WON. Sadly they suffered a huge upset because the week after they lost against Mary Persons High School 37-29. Overall Sandy Creek is a great team!

Major League Baseball

After an exciting 2024 season, the MLB postseason has entered the World Series, where the best National league team plays the best American league team. Will the New York Yankees bring the heat? Or can the Los Angeles Dodgers bring a party to the World Series?

Here are some of the top players of the year: Aaron Judge, Bobby Wit.Jr, Juan Soto, Shohei Ohtani, Fransisco Lindor, and Freddie Freeman. Typically people's favorite players are some of the top players. The Atlanta Braves lost in the NL wild card series against the San Diego Padres. It will be sad for the season to be over but spring training for the 2025 season will begin in 5 short months.
