Make the grade, earn the score...and graduate! The Florida Bright Futures Scholarship program is to reward any Florida high school graduate who merits recognition of high academic achievement. The graduate must enroll in a degree program, certificate program or applied technology program at an eligible Florida public or private postsecondary education institution.
Know your responsibilities...apply, meet the requirements before graduation and throughout your college career.
Anyone who plans on attending college should submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The application is available online and on any mobile device. Every senior high school student and college student must complete the application each year to access federal aid. It is also the application that most state governments and colleges use to award their own aid. The information provided on the form determines a student's, and where appropriate, the student's families ability to pay for college. The FAFSA helps determine what reasonable contribution should come from the student, called the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) and if a gap exists, the amount of aid for which a student qualifies.
