The Kentucky Youth Assembly (KYA) is an expanded, educational opportunity in which students serve as part of a model state government. KYA offers students the opportunity to learn about a wide variety of issues, develop critical thinking skills, and articulate their beliefs while engaging constructively with their peers from around the Commonwealth.

Requirements to attend KYA:

• No discipline referrals

• regular attendance at planning meetings

• paid Y-Club fee and registration fees

Y-Club promotes social responsibility, civic engagement, service-learning, and leadership development through two experiential learning programs--KY Youth Assembly (KYA) and KY United Nations Assembly (KUNA).  The cost is $15 to join and if you paid for KYA earlier this school year you do not need to pay it again for KUNA.
