PTSA Important End of the Year Meeting
May 13th at 5:45pm in the Winburn Library to discuss budget and officers for next year. There will also be a Zoom link sent out prior to the meeting.
PTSA New Leadership

KSA Testing Snack Donations
The Winburn PTSA is excited to provide a healthy snack for all Winburn Middle School students on the first day of KSA (formerly K-PREP) testing this year. We are hoping to collect some food/drink donations for these snacks from our Winburn Middle School community. If you are able to donate click here and please indicate how many slots you can fill. Donations can be dropped off at the Winburn office during school hours from Wednesday, April 23th - Wednesday, April 30, or text Kristen Hoffman at 773-425-2005 for anyone who would like to drop off at the Ashland Elementary bus stop one morning. If you can't do a drop off use the Amazon links provided to purchase and send the items needed directly to Winburn. Thank you so much for your help!

Please consider giving back to the Winburn PTSA by updating your Kroger Account Community Rewards to donate to the Winburn PTSA. To do so, login to your Kroger account and go to My Account > Community Rewards and add Winburn PTSA as your community organization that will earn money when you use your loyalty card.
The Summer Camp for Academically Talented Students (SCATS)

Offered every summer since 1983, this two-week camp provides a wide range of classes for academically talented students who have been in grades six through eight during the 2024-25 school year. Students take four courses from a wide array of choices. Evenings and weekends give participants the chance to engage in sports, arts, games, and social activities.
The Summer Program for Verbally Precocious Youth (VAMPY)

Campers explore an area of interest in depth during this three-week residential program for students who have completed grades 7-10 this school year. VAMPY, a Center fixture since 1984, offers an engaging academic environment with experienced instructors who understand how to challenge and support advanced students. On evenings and weekends, campers participate in a wide range of activities that bring them together as a community.
Eligibility criteria can be found on camp sites. Find VAMPY course descriptions and qualifying ACT or SAT scores here. Students in grades 7-8 may take the ACT through TIP-KY by registering at wku.edu/gifted/tipky. Students in grades 9-10 may register directly through ACT at act.org or SAT here. Students who have not taken the ACT or SAT but plan to do so may register for with scores pending.
