TCMS Family Communication
Principals Message
Commodore Families,
As we make our final push towards the end of the school year (26 days), I wanted to remind everyone of the importance of being at school. Attending school in the last several weeks of a term or academic year is crucial for several reasons:
Review and reinforcement: These weeks often involve review sessions, final projects, and exams. Attending allows students to reinforce their understanding of the material covered throughout the term.
Completion of coursework: Many assignments, projects, and presentations are due during this time. Attendance ensures that students have the opportunity to complete these tasks and submit them to be graded.
Opportunity for extra help: Students who may be struggling with certain concepts or topics can benefit from attending school during these weeks. Teachers often offer additional support and tutoring to help students succeed.
Maintaining routine and discipline: Consistent attendance in the final weeks of school helps students maintain their routine and discipline. It reinforces the importance of commitment and responsibility, which are valuable traits for academic and professional success.
Participation in end-of-year activities: Many schools organize special events, ceremonies, and celebrations at the end of the year. Attending school allows students to participate in these activities and enjoy a sense of community and accomplishment.
Let's have a great week.
Eric Thornsbury, Principal
