***recommended materials below are high quality instruments and implements that will last for a very long time. I (Mr. Angel) still use the xylophone mallets I bought my junior year of high school (2008) to this day. high quality instruments and implements that are taken care of will last for a very long time.***
(Recommended)
Willis Music is the only local store that carries these. Mr. Chamberlain and Mr. Angel believe these are significantly better than bell kits for the following reasons...
They look and sound like the real instruments the students play in class
The keys are bigger and easier to navigate for young players
The price of this is still comparable to a beginner flute/clarinet/trumpet.

(Not Recommended)
Every music store carries these kits. For every reason for the xylophone, there is a reason against the bell kit.
They do not look or sound like the real instruments (this really does sound like a toy)
The keys are very small and tough to navigate
Slightly cheaper than the xylophone
While this does come with a practice pad, it is usually not high quality and the mallets really aren't either.
Most versatile
Will allow students to practice standing up at the appropriate height
As you progress through your career at Morton (and beyond) you will want to add to your stick collection. I would recommend starting with a general timpani mallet or more advanced concert snare stick. If you need help selecting additional mallets ask Mr. Angel, he would love to help!
