Ms. Brown

I grew up in Georgetown and graduated from the University of Kentucky and Eastern Kentucky University with a BA in Sociology, an MA in Middle Grades Teaching, and an MaEd in Gifted Education. I have been teaching for 9 years, all in the middle school Language Arts classroom. 

I have a passion for the arts, having spent most of my high school and college years taking voice lessons and performing in musicals. I spent some time in my adult life on the stage as well, performing in community and local theatre. The arts are a special interest of mine, and were the initial influence in my becoming a teacher in the Gifted classroom.

My husband is also an educator (PE/ Health at Lafayette) and we have two children, both enrolled at EKU. We enjoy spending summers at the beach and traveling whenever we get the opportunity.
