Meet the teacher

My name is Patty Burke. I am a Registered Nurse with over 30 years experience. My primary nursing experience is in adult critical care; however, I also have experience in clinical research, discharge planning and post-secondary nursing education. The 2023-2024 school year will mark my 13th year of teaching Health Sciences for Fayette County.

I truly enjoy introducing students to the healthcare industry. The concepts discussed in class are pertinent to all healthcare careers whether the interest is in medicine, nursing, pharmacy, occupational or physical therapy, dentistry, or anything in between. I am looking forward to another great school year!
