Suggested Component Timeline
Once you complete a component, add it to your Seal of Arts Excellence Portfolio website. Share your components with your arts teacher(s) by the dates below to receive feedback. Follow these deadlines to keep organized and spread out the work of creating your portfolio.
November 10-14 - Component 1A (Resume)
December 1-5 - Component 1B (Artist Statement)
Friday, December 12th - Early deadline for Seal of Arts Excellence submission
January 12-16 - Component 2A
February 2-6 - Component 2B*
*Theatre - 2B and 2C, Tech Theatre - 3B
February 16-20 - Component 3A
Friday, March 6th - Final deadline for Seal of Arts Excellence Portfolios
Fayette County Public Schools recognizes graduating seniors who demonstrate an advanced level of specialization in a visual and performing arts discipline. Students earning the Seal of Arts Excellence receive:
Fayette County Public Schools recognizes graduating seniors who demonstrate an advanced level of specialization in a visual and performing arts discipline. Students earning the Seal of Arts Excellence receive:
A medal to wear at their graduation ceremony (in compliance with the regalia guidelines)
An emblem on their high school diploma; and
A notation on their transcript.
The portfolio will be assembled on a Google Sites template that is now available as an “FCPS Template.”
Update the share settings of each piece of your portfolio so that all Fayette County Public Schools can view.
