Beaumont Middle School Athletics

Attention girls interested in trying out for volleyball. Dates have been set. 6th grade tryouts will be October 6th from 4:30pm-6:30pm and 7th and 8th grade will be on October 7th from 4:30pm - 6:30pm in the Beaumont gym. If interested you MUST sign up in the front office and have an updated KHSAA sports physical on file BEFORE you can sign up. The deadline for sign ups is September 25th.

Attention any girls interested in volleyball. Open gym is scheduled from 4:30 pm-6:30 pm in the Beaumont gym on Sept. 9th, 11th, 17th and 24th. You will not be allowed to participate in open gym without a physical on file. If you need to submit your physical: emailed copies and hand delivered physicals WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED! Are you a 6th grade girl who missed on out on basketball tryouts? Good news! Coach Wilson is looking for a few more players. Make sure you have your sports physical submitted to the AD via the sports physical submission link and show up to practice on the following dates at 4:30pm:

Any student interested in running cross country should email Coach Hall at jonathan.hall@fayette.kyschools.us. A KHSAA physical must be uploaded through BMS website by July 27th. $25 Athletic Insurance and $40 Team Fee. Must be able to run 2 miles or more without stopping. Practice starts (tentative) on Mon July 27th from 4-5:30 pm. No later than Mon Aug 3rd.

Summer Basketball Workout Schedule

Hope everyone has had a great spring. Below is our summer workout schedule, all of this will be at Beaumont in the gym.

June 11th from 10:00am-12:00pm

June 23rd from 10:00am-12:00pm

July 14th from 10:00am-12:00pm

We may add a scrimmage or 2 after the KHSAA dead period, which is June 25-July 9th. Any Beaumont student can attend these workouts as long as they have a physical on file, including incoming 6th graders.

For boys interested in playing football at Beaumont Middle School for the 26-27 school year. Please remember, you MUST have a sports physical on file before you can participate in any conditioning/practice.

Any Beaumont boy that will be boy that is districted for Dunbar for the 25-26 school year and are interested in playing soccer.

Attention for those boys who are playing lacrosse. Practice will be held NEXT Tuesday, March 10th and Thursday, March 12th on the Beaumont football field from general dismissal until 6 pm. If you have lacrosse gear, please bring it. Not required, but recommended. See Mrs. Porter for any questions.

Coach Stegman, the coach of Lafayette's Boys' volleyball, is looking for 7th and 8th grade boys who are districted for Lafayette that are interested in playing boys volleyball. They are looking to add a freshman team this year and are looking for middle schoolers to participate in. Any boys interested must have a KHSAA sports physical and are eligible to show up for open gym on Sunday, March 1st from 1-2:30pm at Lafayette High School. Tryouts are to be determined.

Any 8th grade boy who is districted for Dunbar and is interested in playing football there will be an informational meeting in the Beaumont cafeteria at 3:30pm on Thursday, February 19th.

Any 7th and 8th grade girl districted for Dunbar and interested in lacrosse, there will be open tryouts Tuesday, February 17th and Wednesday Feb. 18th. See the attached flyer.

Be part of something new! This spring marks the return of Lacrosse at Beaumont Middle School—but the team will only exist if enough players sign up. Come learn about this exciting new program and how you can be part of the re-launched lacrosse program at the Informational Spring Lacrosse Meeting on Tuesday, January 27 at 3:30 PM at Beaumont Middle School.
