BCTC/Toyota Advanced Manufacturing Technician Program
This is a great program for students who are interested in working with Toyota, manufacturing and or robotics. The 21 month program will consist of students working three days a week at Toyota and attending class twice at week at the BCTC Georgetown Campus. Students will be paid $19.11 an hour and receive benefits after their probationary period. Students who complete the program and are hired full-time may make up to $62,000 per year. The program aims to provide high paying jobs to skilled workers. It is technology based. While the AMT's focus on manufacturing, they are operating robotics in manufacturing. The AMT program link is open through Bluegrass Community Technical College and students are able to start the application process by clicking on the following link https://legacy.bluegrass.kctcs.edu/forms/campuses/georgetown/amt-kyfame/. The AMT application closes on January 31, 2020. Please keep in mind students are required to submit ACT scores with a minimum of 18 English, 19 math, 20 in reading or students can take the entrance exam at BCTC. As long as students meet equivalent entrance exam scores, they will be considered for an interview with sponsoring companies. Students who apply by October 31st will be eligible for early acceptance.
