Together Realizing Sugar Self-Sufficiency, PT Sinergi Gula Nusantara Collaborates with FTP UNEJ

In order to realize sugar self-sufficiency, the holding company formed by the Ministry of BUMN, PT Sinergi Gula Nusantara, collaborates with stake holders including Higher Education in the East Java region, especially the University of Jember. The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was carried out on Friday, November 17, 2023 by SEVP Operations II with the Vice Chancellor IV representing the Chancellor of the University of Jember. Followed by the signing process of the Cooperation Agreement (PKS) between PT Sinergi Gula Nusantara and the Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology and the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture which took place in the Conference Room of the University of Jember Headquarters.

Also attending the signing ceremony, PG Djatiroto Manager, Agus Priyambodo said that currently sugar factories are challenged to not only produce sugar products, but also renewable energy products that require a touch of advanced technology such as the Internet of Things (IoT) so that waste management both solid and liquid waste can be resolved properly.
