What is an AP Class?
All AP courses at Farrington High School use curriculum taught by FHS teachers that has been approved by the CollegeBoard as meeting the rigors of university level work. This means students will gain...
credit on a 5.0 grade scale
potential college credit while earning high school credit
preparation for any university they choose to attend
Who can apply for AP?
There is no specific AP student! Anyone who is interested in the content area and motivated to learn is welcome and encouraged to take AP classes. Farrington High School has an open enrollment policy and believes all students are capable of Advanced Placement work; therefore we believe in the push/pull philosophy.
We hope to "push" students into the most rigorous courses in which they can be successful, while providing supports to "pull" them through with the best experience and grades possible.
