Frequently Asked Questions:
What should I expect from 'getting ready day'?
Getting ready day is a great opportunity for you to meet one of our psychology teachers and experience a short lesson. During the lesson we will be thinking about what makes some people more helpful than others? Is there a difference in helping behaviour across different cultures? Would you help a stranger?
What is Psychology all about?
Psychology is the scientific study of human behaviour. During the course we look at classic and contemporary psychological studies that investigate questions such as: Would someone obey an immoral authority figure? Would children copy an aggressive role model? How does memory work? Can the environment change the structure of our brain? We also look at how to conduct our own psychological investigations. We then apply our psychological knowledge to topics such as mental health, criminal psychology, child psychology, sport psychology or environmental psychology.
