Frequently Asked Questions
When can students visit the Library?
Be on the lookout for events after school throughout the year!
How many books can my child check out at one time?
First graders may check out 1 book at a time.
Second, Third, and Fourth graders check out 2 books at a time.
Students have a check in/check out time once a week built into their library special class. However, students are encouraged to come to the library when they have time throughout the week if they would like to check out a book before their next class visit rolls around.
When is the Book Fair and other library activities?
Please check under the "News" tab on this website for current updates on our Book Fair!
Do we still do Reading Counts?
No. Students no longer take Reading Counts Quizzes. However, we do have Beanstack which is a digital platform that helps students track their reading and participate in challenges. It is available as a website and app for mobile devices.
Where can I find the library's selection policy?
Please check on the FSDknights website under the Departments Tab. Go to Board of Education, then click Online Policy Manual. Here you can read all policies in the Farmington School District, including the selection/weeding policies for our library.
