Janna Hagerty is the head coach of the Knightline program. and has an extensive dance background. Coach Hagerty began her dance training at the age of 2 at Farmington School of Dance, transitioning to Dance Creations at the age of 11 to train under the talented Dana Pipkin-Anderson. Coach Hagerty continued training at Dance Creations throughout high school. She was a member of Mineral Area Mascots, where she performed at various community events as well as competed in competitions across the state of Missouri.
Coach Hagerty is a 1996 graduate of FHS and was a four year member of Knightline, where she served as choreographer and co-captain. While a member of Knightline, she qualified to perform in the Cotton Bowl, and was a performer in the 1994 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.
Janna has been married to middle/high school sweetheart, Josh, since 1999. They have two wonderful children, Jonah and Jersey. In addition to being the head coach of the Knightline program for 20 years, Janna is also a Speech-Language Pathologist with the Farmington School District. On her days off from the school, she can be found working in skilled nursing facilities around the area, providing cognitive and swallowing therapy to residents who have suffered strokes. Janna is a choreography director for many high school and community theatre programs, and currently serves on the MDTA Executive Board as well as the MSHSAA Spirit Advisory Board.
Assistant Coach Andrea (Andi) Sparks was born and raised in Farmington, Missouri. She fell in love with dance at the age of three and began competing at the age of five. Coach Sparks began her journey with dance team when she joined the FMS Junior Knightline team entering seventh grade and went on to the FHS Knightline Varsity Dance Team. Andi served as captain her eighth grade year, choreographer her junior year, and captain again as a senior. She was a three time UDA All American Dancer and performed in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2012. Andi is now in her 7th year coaching! When she is not at practice, she can be found teaching classes at Farmington Creative Arts Centre or working at Malibu Tan.
FMS Jr. Knightline Coach Taylor Matthiesen is an enthusiastic dance teacher, coach, and choreographer that was born and raised in Farmington, MO. She attended Farmington High school and is a Knightline alumni. Taylor trained as a competitive dancer at O’dells Dance Center in Desloge, MO, where she has taught for 5+ years. Taylor is currently an instructor for Universal Dance Association, and also travels the country as a retail manager for CRU National Dance Competition. Taylor is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science in Education and will soon be an Elementary Teacher in the Farmington R-7 School District as she builds a life with her fiance!
