All staff who work a minimum of 30 hours per week within a work agreement or contract receive 11 days per school year for illness as outlined in Board of Education Policy GCBDA & GDBDA-4

All staff who work a minimum of 30 hours per week within a work agreement or contract receive 2 days annually for personal use as outlined in Board of Education Policy GCBDA & GDBDA-4
All new hire staff who work a minimum of 30 hours per week within a work agreement or contract receive 1 day their first year for personal use as outlined in Board of Education Policy GCBDA & GDBDA-4

Personal days are required to be used prior to the flex day
If not used, the flex day rolls in to sick leave at the end of the school year.
The flex day was originally granted each year as a sick leave day. Several years ago, the Board of Education agreed to take one of the sick days and make it "flexible" with the ability to use it for either sick or personal leave. It is located in your Personal Leave balance. Your Personal Leave must be used prior to the Flex Day. If not used, the Flex Day rolls back in to your Sick Leave at the end of the year.
