My name is Jamie Mrozla and I am the School Social Worker at Jefferson Elementary. I am looking forward to working with your child and your family this school year. All About Me

I graduated from the University of Minnesota with my Masters Degree in Social Work.
A fun fact about me is I also have a degree in American Sign Language Interpreting.
I am passionate about my job as a School Social Worker!

How Can School Social Workers Help?

Address social, emotional, and behavioral concerns that interfere and affect students' school functioning
Identify and remove barriers to students' educational success
Connect families with community resources and services

Social Work Services

Small Group Skill Building
- Working with a group of student on various skills such as anger management, handling emotions, friendship issues, etc.
Individual Skill Building
- One-on One sessions with students how may be going through a difficult time emotionally, displaying behavioral problems, or simply needing someone to talk to.
Crisis Management
- I am available to help individuals and families in crisis situations.
Parent Education/Parent Resources
- I am available to provide resources on parenting skills and parenting tips.
Referrals
- I am available to connect parents and students to resources and services both at the school level and within the community.
