The No. 19 Franklin & Marshall men's soccer (9-2-7, 7-1-1 CC) is set to make its 11th-consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament, traveling to New London, Connecticut for the opening rounds. The Diplomats play Western Connecticut State (15-4-3, 7-1 LEC) in the first round on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. The winner of Saturday's game will take on the winner of Connecticut College (10-2-6, 3-2-5 NESCAC) and Suffolk (10-6-5, 6-1-2 CNE) on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.

The capacity for the Freeman Field facility is approximately 1,500 spectators. This is a ticketed event, which can be purchased in person at every marked entrance to the facility. Tickets for each day are below and cash or credit are accepted. Tickets are eligible for all events the day of purchase. Any guest or spectator not able to attend in person may enjoy the contest(s) via the live stream which will be shared as it becomes available.

Last Week
The Diplomats were knocked out of the Centennial Conference Tournament by Muhlenberg, 2-1, in the semifinals on Friday. After the Mules took a 2-0 lead, Jack Borden found the back of the net in the 77th minute to cut the deficit in half. However, F&M couldn't find the equalizer as Muhlenberg advanced to the CC Championship. Despite the final score, the Diplomats had their chances throughout the contest as the hosts outshot the Mules, 30-9, in the game. Read the full recap here.
Last Time vs. Western Connecticut State
The Diplomats defeated WestConn in the first round of the 2018 NCAA Tournament, 2-1, in double overtime. Robert Maze '19 opened the scoring in the 28th minute to give the Diplomats the early advantage. F&M led for the majority of the game, but WestConn buried the equalizer with 29 seconds remaining in regulation to force overtime. Last Time vs. Connecticut College
F&M and Conn. College met for the first time in the 2023 NCAA Tournament Semifinals at Tylus Field with the Camels winning in penalty kicks. After a scoreless first half, both teams raised the offensive pressure in the closing 45 minutes. Conn. College scored the game's first goal in the 79th minute, but Koa Kaliebe quickly responded with the equalizer in the 83rd minute to send the game to overtime. Two overtime periods couldn't decide the outcome, however the Camels downed the Diplomats, 7-6, in penalty kicks to advance to the Sweet Sixteen. Read the full recap here.

Western Connecticut State Team Preview
WestConn downed Rhode Island College in penalty kicks, 0-0 (3-1 PKs), to win the Little East Conference title for the sixth time in program history. Maximus Vigo leads the team with 11 goals this year, while George Cortes and Jeffrey Norales are tied for a team-high six assists this season. Vigo is currently 12th in the nation for game-winning goals with five this fall. Goalkeeper Zachary Benson sports a 0.71 goals-against average with a save percentage of 82.3 percent.
Connecticut College Team Preview
The Camels defeated Middlebury, 3-1, in the NESCAC Championship to earn an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament and host the first two rounds of the tournament. Matt Scoffone leads Conn. College with eight goals and two game-winners this fall. Meanwhile, Marco Perugini leads CC in assists with six. Goalkeeper Peter Silvester boasts a 0.61 goals-against average and a save percentage of 85.3 percent this year.
Suffolk Team Preview
Suffolk defeated Roger Williams in penalty kicks, 1-1 (3-2 PKs) to claim its second CNE title in program history. Francisco Valck leads the Rams with seven goals and 14 points, while Diego Pierantozzi holds the team-lead in assists with four this fall. Goalkeeper Nathan Harlow is ranked 62nd in the nation for goals-against average with an 0.88 GAA. Harlow also has a save percentage of 83.3 percent and has recorded seven shutouts this season.
