People walk in and out of doors on a daily basis. We walk across a door and then we enter into a new space. Our behaviors start to be different than we were in the previous space although we still breathe the same air and be around by the same groups of people. In the project, I documented several doors with different features to the homes of different families in Jixian New Village, Yangzhou, China. New Village is a Chinese way to refer to resettlement houses for demolition and relocation of an “old” village.
