Women's Basketball

Building momentum towards the future.

The squad showed promise in the face of daunting games against then-No. 20 Christopher Newport (eventual Sweet 16 team) and a pair of tilts against Johns Hopkins. The Diplomats started the season 4-4, and ultimately finished 6-6 at home in the Mayser Center.

F&M finished 10-15 on the season, including an 8-12 conference record under first-year head coach Brianna Spector.

Kenna Williams wrapped up her career in the Blue and White, finishing her Diplomat career in the top-five in blocks and rebounds.

Game Highlights

  • A 75-31 blowout of Penn State-Berks on the road opened the season and give Spector her first victory as head coach. Four different Diplomats finished in double figures.

  • Despite the loss to nationally-ranked Christopher Newport, the Diplomats held tight through three quarters - only a 26-15 second quarter really set the two sides apart.

  • A 55-49 victory against Muhlenberg saw the squad turn a seven point deficit into a six point win.

  • D'Naisha Bellamy-Greene's floater with 2.6 seconds remaining helped F&M take down Centennial Conference Tournament qualifier Swarthmore.
