Men's Basketball

A bright future awaits.

While the ten wins were one less than the 2019-20 season, the Diplomats have a bright future as their second, third, and fourth leading scorers were either sophomores or first-years playing in their first collegiate season.

F&M posted a second-straight 7-11 mark in Centennial play, ending 10-15 on the year.

Solomon Mathis led the way as one of just four seniors, finishing fifth in the CC in scoring (14.4).

Highlighting some of the skilled youngsters on the squad moving forward:

First-year forward John Seidman ranked fourth in the conference in assists per game (3.7)

Sophomore Omar Nichols finished fifth in the CC in three-pointers per game as a sophomore (2.3).

Sophomore Josh Parra ranked fourth in field goal percentage (51.6%).

First-year Riiny Giir showcased an inside-outside game as a 6'8" forward, hitting 49.3% from the field with 17 three-pointers.

Game Highlights

  • Omar Nichols tied the F&M record with eight three-pointers in an 85-66 road victory over Washington.

  • The team set a new school record for three-pointers in a game with 16 against Muhlenberg. John Seidman set a new CC record for assists by a freshman with 12 in the game.

  • A pair of victories closed out the season, playing playoff-spoiler to Dickinson in a near coast-to-coast win, then beating McDaniel by 22 on Senior Day.
