Dear Parents & Students,                               Sept. 2023

All underlined text below has a link to click!

We are happy to announce that beginning Orchestra Lessons will be offered this school year to 5th grade students DURING THEIR MUSIC TIME!  Lessons on the Violin, Viola, Cello and String Bass will be taught during the school day. Recently your child was introduced to each of these instruments and has expressed an interest in learning how to play and joining the orchestra program in Fairview.

Any fifth grade student is eligible to begin lessons. All lessons are 35 minutes in length and are held during their MUSIC CLASS on their specific colored day. Classes will begin the week of September 18-22 with instruments. The success of these students depends heavily on parental support.  Parents need to know the facts about the music program, the schedule of classes, the teacher, the concert schedule, where to rent or purchase instruments of higher quality, what books and supplies are needed, etc.

All instruments come in sizes appropriate for the height and length of the arm for each student. All students will be measured in class and the size you need for each string instrument is on the instrument form. If your child did not get measured, please let me know.

Important Dates

Instruments rented from the stores above will be delivered to GS and Mrs. Needham will set up each instrument so it is ready for class. After the first class, your child will bring the instrument home.
