Letters about Literature

LETTERS ABOUT LITERATURE:

A statewide reading and writing program for students in grades 4 – 12. Students read a book of their choice and write a letter to the author letting them know how reading the book has changed their life or view of the world. 

There are three writing levels – Level 1 (Grades 4 – 6), Level 2 (Grades 7 & 8), and Level 3 (Grades 9 – 12). There is one winner per level. 

Finalists receive certificates at the end of the school year in time for end of the year awards ceremonies. Entry deadline: December 15, 2025.
