What are the different application types, and which one should I choose?

Early Decision: 

• Deadlines vary - generally 11/1, 11/15, 12/1, or 12/15.

• Typically you hear back in December or January.

• Students must withdraw applications to other schools if accepted.

• Financial aid package is binding (cannot shop around).

• Cannot apply to other schools under this plan.

Early Action:

• Deadlines vary - generally 11/1, 11/15, 12/1, or 12/15.

• Typically you hear back in December or January.

• Do not need to withdraw other applications if you are accepted.

Regular Decision

• Deadlines vary - generally 1/1, 1/15, 2/1, 2/15, or 3/1. 

• Typically you hear back in March or April.

• No obligation to enroll in that school - you are encouraged to compare financial aid packages (offers) of the schools you're accepted to, discuss payment plans with your parents/guardians, and make a final decision by May 1st!

Rolling Admissions:

• Rolling admissions have no deadlines to apply.

Important Note: The earlier you apply, the sooner you hear back from the school AND you will be able to secure your spot (particularly in competitive programs)--Don't wait too long to apply!)
