NATIONAL ART HONOR SOCIETY

      The Fairhaven High School chapter of the National Art Honor Society seeks to promote excellence and appreciation of the visual arts through the refinement of artistic skill, community service outreach, and public exhibition. Membership is based on scholarship in the visual arts, service to the school community, personal and academic character. Members are eligible for regional and national exhibition, publication,  scholarships, awards, and graduation recognition.

Community Service Projects

Fairhaven Family Fun Day

KIDS FEST - Partnering with the Millicent Library, members helped work a kids craft table. Members organize paint and other material as well as help children create successful and fun artwork and memories.

Middle School Art Club

Members help out after school at Hastings Art Club, setting up cleaning up and aiding students with their work.

Memory Project

Portraits are created for orphans throughout the world, the artwork is delivered to each child while funds are raised to improve their environment.

Fundraising

Holiday Cards & Ornaments 

Members create and sell Holiday Cards and ornaments raising funds and sharing holiday spirit!

T-Shirts & Sweatshirts

Each year students create a new vector for our shirts and sweatshirts. Students sell these items to raise funds as well as representing our society with pride while wearing the shirts!

Green Art for Earth Day 

Students create green art out of old bottle caps, book pages, paper cutting scraps etc. They sell these art works in April near Earth Day to bring awareness to upcycled and reusable material options.

Induction & Art Auction

A ceremony inducting members each year. At the end of the induction ceremony we have an annual art auction. We auction off artwork created by members in a ticket lottery raffle.
