FH Schools Referendum
On September 24, Fair Haven voters can put the finishing touches on a plan to be sure the community’s high value on education is reflected in its schools. Voter approval would enable the expansion to full-day kindergarten, an expectation most Monmouth County schools already meet. It would provide the space needed to further support 21st Century learning with a strong emphasis on STEAM at both schools, and a dedicated World Language classroom where one does not exist at Sickles. It would also significantly improve security and building systems at both schools.
These website pages are dedicated to the September 24 bond referendum to ensure the community is informed about the proposal. This is the place for the most accurate and up-to-date information, from how this process started to how to cast a ballot. Poke around and learn about the goals and the reasons for this school improvement plan. Briefly, it would add even more credence to our statement that #FHLeads. There’s much more to it, and we hope citizens will take the opportunity to learn all about it.

We currently have three dates set for public presentations.
- Wednesday, May 22nd at 8:45am at Sickles School *
- Thursday, May 23rd at 7:00pm at Sickles School
- Thursday, June 13th at 7:00pm at Knollwood School
All presentations will feature the same information. We are offering multiple dates so that folks have options to attend in case they have conflicts.
* Our daytime presentation at Sickles School on May 22nd will be a little more restricted as school is in session and we need to be mindful of our students’ safety; so please aim to come to one of our evening presentations if at all possible.
