Sport Registration

Registration for 2023 winter sports is now open.  Registration/Parent permission for athletics is done online with no paper copy. Parents, click HERE to register your child for sports. Please complete your registration at least two weeks before the start date of your sport.

Physical Forms can be dropped off in the nurses office at Warde between 8am-2pm.

Physical Forms are due at least two weeks before the start date of your sport. Physicals are valid for 13 months. Please keep a copy of your physical! Physical forms can be downloaded from the athletic website. Please click on the tryout link under each season (on the left) for specific dates and times. 


Parent Meeting for Sports Participants

There will be a Meeting for all Parents who have a child playing a winter sport on December 6 at 6:30pm in the auditorium. Please plan to attend for a brief overview of FWHS athletics with the AD, Gina DiGiacomo. There will be breakout sessions for each individual sports team with the respective coach(es). Student-athletes are encouraged to attend with their parents. 

Student Photographer Guidelines for High School Athletic Events

Introduction:

These guidelines were established to guide student photographers in capturing images during high school athletic events while respecting the privacy and safety of all individuals involved. It is essential that student photographers adhere to these guidelines to maintain a positive and professional environment.

1. Authorization:

1.1. Student photographers must receive prior authorization from the school administration or designated personnel before covering any high school athletic event.

2. Identification:

2.1. Student photographers must wear identification badges provided by the school while covering events. This will help event organizers and security personnel easily identify authorized photographers.

3. Respect for Privacy:

3.1. Student photographers must respect the privacy of athletes, coaches, and spectators.

3.2. Avoid capturing images that could be deemed invasive or inappropriate.

3.3. Do not photograph individuals in compromising or vulnerable situations.

4. Safety Guidelines:

4.1. Student photographers should be mindful of their surroundings and avoid obstructing the view or interfering with the event.

4.2. Maintain a safe distance from the playing area and adhere to any safety regulations set by event organizers.

5. Equipment Usage:

5.1. Student photographers are responsible for their own equipment.

5.2. Use of flash photography is discouraged, especially during live action to avoid distraction to athletes.

6. Code of Conduct:

6.1. Student photographers must adhere to the school's code of conduct and any additional guidelines provided by event organizers.

6.2. Any disruptive or inappropriate behavior may result in revocation of photography privileges.

7. Post-Event Responsibilities:

7.1. Student photographers are responsible for editing and selecting images before submission.

7.2. Submitted images may be used by the school for promotional and archival purposes.

8. Violations and Consequences:

8.1. Violations of this policy may result in the suspension or revocation of photography privileges for future events.

8.2. Repeated violations may lead to disciplinary actions.

8. Review and Updates:

8.1. This policy will be reviewed periodically, and updates may be made as necessary.

By adhering to these guidelines, student photographers contribute to a positive and respectful representation of high school athletic events.

9. Commercial Use and Financial Gains:

9.1. Student photographers are strictly prohibited from using images captured during high school athletic events for commercial purposes without explicit written consent from the school administration.


9.2. Any attempt to sell photographs taken at school events, either directly or through third-party platforms, requires prior approval from the school administration.


9.3. In the event of commercial use, a percentage of the proceeds may be required to support school programs or designated funds, as determined by the school administration.
