Physical Activity at Home

Below are examples of fun and simple exercises that you can do at home. You do not need a lot of equipment to do these exercises. Look at the pictures to see the different types of exercises that you could do with a friends or family members.

Muscular Strength and Muscular Endurance Exercises- These exercises will make you stronger!

Push Ups

Curl Ups

Jump Squats

Superman or Superwoman

Cardiovascular Endurance- These exercises will make your heart stronger and will help you to run and play for longer periods of time

Running

Jumping Jacks

Sports or games where you are moving/running for long periods of time.

Be sure to look into participating in or joining a sport team at your local boys and girls club, parks and recreation department or travel programs.

Seasonal activities:

  • Winter-Skiing, sledding, skating, hockey, and other indoor sports

Remember to stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water and have a well balanced diet.
