Team GiveButter Page
Your team will have a GiveButter page that will retain the same url for seasons to come. We will simply add new dates/times/prices as needed. You can customize these forms to include whatever information you need to collect from campers. To see an example, check out www.givebutter.com/futurelionsboysbasketball. You will also be given a QR code that will direct registrants to this page.
Fee & Platform information
This year we are making the switch from Square to GiveButter for online payments for a few administrative reasons that will be helpful for both coaches and boosters. While it does have a 3% platform fee, it also allows us to provide the option for registrants to cover credit card fees, which 90+ percent choose to do. So with the switch, you will likely end up with MORE in your team fund, then with Square payments in the past. Check payments do not incur any fees from GiveButter. (If you prefer NOT to accept checks, you always have that option).
Camp Promotion Support
The Athletic Boosters will help promote your camp through the following channels:
Email Outreach:
• Sent to all FHS pyramid elementary and middle school feeder communities
• Shared with the PTSA and Principal’s Office for inclusion in weekly newsletters
• Emailed to past camp registrants who match your camp’s age group/demographic
Social Media & Community Sharing:
• Posted on Fairfax Athletic Boosters’ Instagram and Facebook accounts
• Shared with local organizations such as FPYC to reach additional families
Registration Collection/Camper Information
As participants register, an email will be generated. We can set up a filter to forward those to you or another coach/volunteer if you would like to keep an eye on how many kids are signing up. (A non-fcps email is probably best for this because of county spam filters) Before the event, we can provide the spreadsheet with all needed information at whatever time frame/cadence you need.
