Creating this early awareness leads to connections of skills that lay a foundation for academic rigor and social development that is needed for success in college and career readiness.

We want to create early awareness of post secondary options for students: college, trade school, military, career, etc.
We want students to make a connection between their aspirations for their future to their current academics, assessments, disciplines, attendance, and social skills.
We want students to explore different careers and fields of study that are undiscovered to them based on their interests and strengths.
We want to engage students in experiences that can help prosper a better understanding of differing careers and how to attain those careers starting now and excelling into their future.
Building a college and career readiness culture to us means that we are laying the foundation down for students future success.
We are encouraging their confidence in post secondary education based on their hard work and drive.
We celebrate students resilience!
We maintain high expectations while providing adequate supports to push them toward success.

We want to utilize students interests and strengths to broaden their understanding for future careers.
We want to provide them with as many enrichment opportunities as possible at FIS to help build upon those interests and strengths.
Enrichment and extracurricular activities can help enrich their awareness, academic performance, and futuristic skill set such as leadership.
We teach students how to explore career likes, dislikes, taking into consideration their skills and strengths.
