This is a pict of me and my 22 year old son, Lucas playing Putt-putt at Frankie's Fun Park in Greenville.
I am stoked to be at Brashier! This is my 24rd year in education, and I have served in a variety of roles from classroom teacher to emcee at some major Brashier events. I knew I wanted to be a teacher when I got my first paycheck as a teacher. I thought, "Dang! There could be some big bucks teachin' these crazy kids!" I love being in the classroom teaching and having fun interacting with the students!
I graduated from Ouachita Baptist University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communications. I also have a Masters Degree in Information Technology from South Carolina. I am officially certified in AI. I took and passed the Azure-900 AI Exam. Additionally I am currently pursuing National Board Certification and have successfully completed the first of 4 legs of the process. So yeah...go team!
In my free time, I love to play putt-putt golf (that's me with my only son Lucas in the picture to the left....I kicked his tail in putt-putt that day.), spending time with my family, and going fishing!
On the weekends you will find me at Hope Church where I serve in the Children's Ministry at Hope Church in Simpsonville. I have been serving there for a few years now. The kids are so fun to teach and joke around with.

I believe that all students deserve to be treated with dignity and respect.
I believe that everyone is capable of learning, code and computers.
I believe that coding is far more than memorizing steps and algorithms.
I believe that the teacher's role is to provide learning experiences, not simply answers.
I believe that hard works pays off.
I believe that students need to know you care before they care what you know.
I believe in learning from mistakes.
I don't believe people can fly or touch the sky.
