Memorial Day weekend, May 22–25, 2026. Here's everything happening in Harvard for alumni weekend, day by day. Banquet tickets and the menu are on the Banquet & Tickets page, and this year's memorial roster is on the Memorials page.

Friday, May 22

Harvard Lions Club BBQ – Free will donation, at the Community Room, 5–8 p.m.

Harvard Fire Department Alumni Dance – doors open 8 p.m.–12:30 a.m. at the Fire Hall. $5 cover charge, cash bar, live music by Easy Street Classic Rock.

Saturday, May 23

Harvard Town Tour – 1:00 p.m. – No charge. One tour only, led by Scott Stemper, Class of 1979. Meet at the school 15 minutes before the tour. The tour lasts about 1½ hours and stops at the Harvard Air Base and the Museum. We will be using one of the school buses; it is handicap accessible and air conditioned and seats about 34 people.

School tours & name tag pick-up – 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Join the Alumni Historical Committee for a walk-through tour of the school. Please meet in the gymnasium at least 10 minutes before the tour. Tours are guided by students, school board President Janet (Haseloh) Hachtel, the Student Council sponsor and student council members.

Sunday, May 24

Pre-Memorial Day Service – 2:00 p.m. at the First Evangelical Cemetery northwest of Harvard.

Monday, May 25 – Memorial Day

Avenue of Flags at Harvard Cemetery. If you are interested in helping raise the flags on Memorial Day morning or taking them down in the afternoon, please contact chairperson and VFW Auxiliary President Laurie Jarzynka. Kevin and Regan (Rocco) Bicknase – Class of 2014 will be taking over this large task.

Memorial Day Services – 10:30 a.m., Harvard Cemetery. In case of inclement weather, services will be held at the school. For questions, contact VFW Post Commander Gene Keasling.

Lunch at the Legacy – 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Free will donation lunch of pulled pork, baked beans and chips for the Vets, open to the public.

Kitchen: Friday 11:30 a.m.–8:00 p.m., Saturday 11:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
Bar: Friday 11:30 a.m.–midnight, Saturday 11:30 a.m.–11:00 p.m.
Memorial Day: open 11:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m. only (no open menu).
Normal hours: Bar Mon–Thu 11:30 a.m.–9:00 p.m., Fri 11:30 a.m.–10:00 p.m., closed Sat & Sun. Kitchen Mon 11:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m., Tue–Fri 11:30 a.m.–8:00 p.m.
