GNR Student Council Meets with Mayor Mironov

It is hard to believe that our 5th Graders’ Elementary years are coming to an end! As we prepare for the promotion to Middle School, it is always fun to reflect on the wonderful events that our students have been able to enjoy over the past few months.

In March, our 5th graders got to experience a tour at Kreps and meet some of the wonderful staff that they will be working with next year. Mrs. Felicetta welcomed our students with open arms and gave us a very informative introduction to 6th grade! We can’t wait to be MHK Cougars!

After completing State Testing, the 5th grade got to celebrate with their first social! “Let’s Glow Crazy” was the perfect theme to allow everyone to dance, socialize, and have a great time. Our 5th graders were so excited to attend their first social and enjoyed all of the decorations, snacks, games, and music. It was an awesome kick-off to our end-of-year activities. Thank you so much to the PTO for putting on a memorable night!

Finally the 5th grade got to enjoy a class field trip together! On June 1st, we traveled across town to the JCC Abrams camp for a day of sun, fun, and enjoying time with friends! Students got the opportunity to test their skills at archery, play friendly games of soccer, wall ball, volleyball, and Gaga, and even got to race each other on a bounce house! Thank you to everyone who contributed to a memorable year for our fifth grade students!
