Hye-Won Choi is a professor of linguistics in the Department of English Language and Literature and currently serves as Dean of the College of Liberal Arts at Ewha Womans University, Korea. She received her PhD in linguistics from Stanford University in 1996. She subsequently held positions as a lecturer at the University of California, Riverside, an adjunct assistant professor at the University of Southern California, and an assistant professor at the University at Buffalo (SUNY). She has also been a visiting scholar at Claremont McKenna College and Stanford University in the United States, as well as at Lingnan University in Hong Kong. She has been on the faculty at Ewha Womans University since 2002.

Her research interests include syntax, corpus linguistics, discourse analysis, statistical modeling of linguistic variation, and digital humanities. She is currently engaged in research on AI and human language and developing a speciliazed AI model for humanities studies using RAG and KAG. 

Dr. Dongsung Kim is a postdoctoral researcher at the Digital Humanities Lab. He currently teaches courses in computer programming, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, data processing, and automata theory. He received his Ph.D. in Computational Linguistics from Korea University. He previously served as a Special Appointment Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Ewha Womans University. In addition, he has eight years of industry experience as a developer and project manager in AI software development companies. Dr. Kim has authored several books on artificial intelligence, natural language processing, computer programming, statistics, prompt engineering, and large language models.

Yeseul Park is a PhD student in English Literature at Ewha Womans University. Her current interest lies in Digital Humanities, with a particular emphasis on applying computational methodologies to the study of eighteenth-century British novels written by female authors such as Jane Austen and Frances Burney. As a member of the Digital Humanities Lab at Ewha Womans University, she is also involved in a project to develop a comprehensive database of Renaissance drama, including Shakespeare’s oeuvre.

박예슬은 이화여자대학교 영어영문학과 박사 과정에 재학 중이며, 연구 관심사는 디지털 인문학, 특히 제인 오스틴(Jane Austen)과 프랜시스 버니(Frances Burney) 등 18세기 영국 여성 작가들의 소설 연구에 컴퓨터 방법론을 적용하는 데 주력하고 있다. 또한 이화여자대학교 디지털 인문학 랩(Digital Humanities Lab)의 구성원으로서, 셰익스피어 전집을 포함한 르네상스 희곡의 데이터베이스를 구축하는 프로젝트에 참여하고 있다.

YooJoung Nam is a PhD student in English Literature at Ewha Womans University. She explores reading in the 21st century, especially the changes in the novel form and content according to changing reading practices. Her research interests also include contemporary British novels, Korean Boys' Love, fanfiction, and digital humanities.

남유정은 이화여자대학교 영어영문학과 박사 과정에 재학 중이며 21세기의 읽기 방식, 특히 디지털 읽기 행위로 인한 소설 형식과 내용 변화에 관심사를 갖고 있다. 이외에도 현대영국소설, 한국 BL (Boys' Love), 팬픽션과 디지털 인문학의 연구 관심사를 갖고 관련 프로젝트에 참여하고 있다.

Gayeon Lee is an MA student in the Department of English Literature at Ewha Womans University. Her research interest includes early 20th century British novels and its reception across the globe. As a current member of the Digital Humanities Lab, she is involved in analyzing contemporary popular culture including fan fictions through computational methodologies.

이가연은 이화여자대학교 영어영문학과에 석사 과정으로 재학중이며, 현재 연구 관심사는 20세기 초 영국 소설과 그것의 수용이다. 현재 디지털 인문학 랩의 일원으로서, 컴퓨터적 기법을 이용한 팬픽을 포함한 현대 대중 문화의 분석 연구에 참여하고 있다.

Jiwon Park is an MA student in the Department of English Literature at Ewha Womans University. Her research examines the synergy between Gothic literature and witch studies, focusing on the transgressive behaviors and psychological complexities of witch figures across literary periods. A core component of her scholarly work is her involvement with the Digital Humanities Lab, where she applies computational tools to literary history. Jiwon has constructed the specialized databases for Gothic texts and banned literature, employing Topic Modeling and sentiment analysis to uncover latent thematic structures.

박지원은 이화여자대학교 영어영문학과에 석사 과정으로 재학 중이다. 고딕 문학과 마녀 연구의 상호 연관성을 탐구하고 있으며, 특히 여러 시대의 문학 텍스트 속에서 마녀로 형상화된 인물들의 일탈적 행위와 그들의 어둡고 복잡한 내면이 시사하는 바를 살펴보는 데에 주목하고 있다. 디지털 인문학 랩에서의 활동을 통해 박지원은 문학 연구에 컴퓨터 기반의 양적 연구를 접목하는 시도도 하였다. 고딕 문학과 금서에 관한 영문학 데이터베이스를 구축하였으며, 토픽 모델링과 감성 분석 기법을 활용하여 그러한 텍스트들에 공통된 주제들과 그 함의를 발굴하는 연구를 수행하고 있다.

Hailee Yoon is an MA student in Linguistics in the Department of English Language & Literature at Ewha Womans University. Her research interests include linguistics, phonetics/phonology, speech technology, and the integration of data-driven and computational methods into linguistic research. At the Ewha DH Lab, she participated in the Korean Diaspora Project, where she conducted archival research on Korean diaspora novels, selected and parsed the texts, and applied topic modeling to identify common themes.

윤혜리는 이화여자대학교 영어영문학과 어학 전공 석사과정생이며, 연구 관심사는 언어학 전반, 음성학·음운론, 음성 기술, 그리고 데이터 기반 분석 방법을 언어학 연구에 접목하는 것이다. DH 랩의 구성원으로서 한국 디아스포라 프로젝트에 참여하여 한국 디아스포라 소설을 대상으로 아카이브 조사를 수행하고, 텍스트를 선별·파싱한 뒤 토픽 모델링을 적용해 공통 주제를 도출했다.

Sun Choi is an MA student in Korean History in the Department of History at Ewha Womans University. Her research interests focus on reconstructing the everyday lives and social practices of local elite families in late Joseon rural society. As a member of the Digital Humanities Lab at Ewha Womans University, she is preparing research projects that integrate historical scholarship with digital humanities methodologies.

최선은 이화여자대학교 사학과 한국사 전공 석사 과정에 재학 중이며, 연구 관심사는 조선 후기 향촌 사회를 중심으로 재지사족의 일상생활과 사회적 실천을 복원하는 데 있다. 현재 디지털인문학 랩의 일원으로서 역사학과 디지털 인문학 방법론을 접목한 연구 프로젝트를 준비하고 있다.

Yumin Lee is an MA student in Linguistics in the Department of English Language & Literature at Ewha Womans University. Her research interests lie in applied linguistics, with a particular focus on corpus linguistics, computational linguistics, and second language acquisition in the areas of phonetics and syntax. She has conducted data-driven research as a member of Ewha Digital Humanities Lab, where she constructed a database of Korean diaspora novels, performed syntactic parsing, and identified thematic patterns through topic modeling.

이유민은 이화여자대학교 영어영문학과 어학전공 석사과정생이다. 연구 관심사는 응용언어학으로, 특히 코퍼스 언어학, 전산언어학, 그리고 음성학과 통사론 영역에서의 제2언어 습득에 초점을 두고 있다. 이화 디지털 인문학 랩의 일원으로서 데이터 기반 연구를 수행하였으며, 한인 디아스포라 영어 소설의 데이터베이스를 구축하고 파싱을 수행한 뒤 토픽 모델링을 통해 주요 주제 양상을 도출하였다.

Seunghye Ryu is an undergraduate student majoring in English Language and Literature at Ewha Womans University. Her research interests lie at the intersection of Human–Computer Interaction, computational linguistics, and digital humanities. As a member of the Digital Humanities Lab, she has participated in multiple projects, including topic modeling of banned books and sentiment analysis of nineteenth-century Gothic short stories.

유승혜는 이화여자대학교 영어영문학부 재학생으로, 인간-컴퓨터 상호작용(Human-Computer Interaction), 전산언어학, 그리고 디지털 인문학에 관심을 가지고 있다. 또한 디지털 인문학 랩의 구성원으로서, 금서(banned books)를 대상으로 한 토픽 모델링 및 데이터베이스 구축 프로젝트와 19세기 고딕 단편소설의 감성 분석 등 여러 프로젝트에 참여해왔다.
