The Isle is an open-world dinosaur survival game available on Steam for $19.99. In The Isle you choose from either a herbivorous or carnivorous dinosaur to grow and survive on an isolated island. The game is massive multiplayer and allows players of the same or different species to meet and respond accordingly to their needs. Carnivores take the role of hunting other players and AI for food whereas herbivores aim to locate plants across the map for food. The Isle has a large fandom and community from all over the world and in a wide range of ages. Although not a horror game there is a predominant theme in The Isle that nobody is safe. Even the largest and strongest dinosaurs may fall to large groups of others. Developers control what players have access to and players control the online ecosystem. The Isle has two branches of games- Legacy and EVRIMA. Legacy is the original branch and the default for new players. Through modifying the game properties players can choose to play on the EVRIMA branch. The EVRIMA branch is an entire rework of the game, including its mechanics, dinosaurs, maps, and much more. For the sake of simplicity, this site will be based around the EVRIMA branch which is experiencing ongoing development.
