The Utahraptor is a medium-sized versatile, predatory carnivore and the first released playable from the EVRIMA branch of the game. The Utahraptor preys upon most other inhabitants as it has an exclusive pounce ability and is a well-rounded character. The pounce ability allows the Utahraptor to latch onto a larger dinosaur and cause it to bleed out. Though, this can be risky as a missed pounce stuns the raptor and makes it vulnerable. Another weakness of the Utahraptor is their group size. Alone, Utahraptors are often either slower or weaker to anything older than a juvenile and can easily be hunted down by even a single Carnotaurus. However, in large packs they are able to take down entire herds or packs if desired. The Utahraptor is one of the most well-known dinosaurs from The Isle who commonly appears in media, fanart, or official concepts of the game. During gameplay the Utahraptor is an agile predator best played with friends.
The Tenontosaurus is a medium-sized herbivore released after the Utahraptor in the EVRIMA branch that is both swift and deadly. Tenontosaurs support a fast-paced yet relaxed gameplay style. They are easily able to hold their ground in most fights with the most attacks of any released playable. This includes a bite, claw, kick, and tail slam. A tail slam to stun an opponent and a few well-timed kicks to the head are enough to kill or ward off most enemies. Though difficult to master in combat the Tenontosaurus is a formidable foe to any. Although, Tenontosaurus has a few prominent weaknesses. The Tenontosaurus' most influential attacks deplete its stamina at a quick rate. It also has the quickest water drain of any dinosaur, often rendering it exposed to Deinosuchus players and forcing it to remain near freshwater sources or risk dehydration. For this reason, many Tenontosaurs choose to ally with giant Stegosaurs as they can defend them from predators and their plant diets are in similar locations. As a herbivore it is not uncommon to spot Tenontosaurus alongside a group of others. Played alone or with others, the Tenontosaurus provides a difficult yet rewarding play style.
The Pachycephhlosaurus is a medium-sized coastal herbivore with a deadly, lingering attack but a low health pool. Pachycephalosaurs are known for their main attack known as the headbutt. This attack can be charged and if it hits an opponent has a high chance to fracture a bone and apply a limitation to one of their abilities. A head fracture causes reduced vision, a body fracture causes an increase in stamina decay, and a leg fracture greatly reduces their ability to run and may disable some attacks. The Pachycephhlosaurus has few weaknesses outside of its limited diet range and relatively low health for its speed. Most Pachycephhlosaurus players take pride in their ability to fracture bones and weaken others and are often quite arrogant in combat. When teaming with larger herbivores the Pachycephhlosaurus can often ward off many wary predators. However, in singularity Pachycephhlosaurus are relatively weak. They will put up a fight in combat but their low health leads to short, painful ones against larger opponents. The Pachycephhlosaurus is best played by aggressive players looking for a good time and plenty of fights.
The Carnotaurus is a large, quick carnivore famed as being the apex predator of the EVRIMA branch of The Isle. Even alone the Carnotaurus is a fierce and deadly predator. It is able to outrun any dinosaur as it has the fastest speed of any dinosaur in the game at 55.5km/h. The Carnotaurus has a ram ability that drains its stamina twice as fast but delivers a high-damage blow and stun when it hits a smaller target. Though powerful the Carnotaurus has several vulnerabilities. It has a quick stamina decay, is often a target of cannibalism, and has poor movement through hilly/mountainous terrain. The Carnotaurus is built for flat, open plains where it can easily spot and hunt down others. However, groups of Carnotaurus often attack lone ones for food. The Carnotaurus has the quickest hunger decay in the game and is on a constant search for meat which can only be satisfied by extreme amounts of AI or from hunting other players. Through this system it is nearly impossible to keep a pack of more than 3 full-grown Carnotaurs from starving. Still, Carnotaurus players are plentiful in groups and found around more player-dense regions of the map. The Carnotaurus provides a fast-paced gameplay full of action that is fairly simple and easy to play.
The Stegosaurus is a large slow, strong herbivore in The Isle. Though weak in comparison to other apex dinosaurs in the Legacy version it towers over all dinosaurs in the EVRIMA branch and is commonly regarded as the most fearsome. The Stegosaurus has the longest growth time alongside the Deinosuchus of 6 - 12 hours. It is a giant herbivore with a slow speed yet an agonizing thagomizer swing that can kill even the most powerful dinosaurs in less than 6 well-aimed hits. Although it is slow the Stegosaurus provides great defense for smaller herbivores and is often seen alongside them for protection. At fully grown it is immune to the Deinosuchus' lunge attack and can drink at freshwater sources safely. The Stegosaurus has few limitations besides its slow speed, insatiable appetite, and weakness while young. The Stegosaurus has preferred diets all over the map and for a well-balanced diet it must travel great lengths. Stegosaurian herds are not uncommon and quite often include smaller herbivores. Stegosaurs are the staple of most herds and easily deter most predators which aim to dodge their attacks and target weaker allies. The Stegosaurus is a large commitment to grow but nearly impossible to kill once finished. The Stegosaurus is for easy-going players who would like to help others and don't mind the relaxed gameplay.
The Deinosuchus is a large, aquatic ambush predator which closely resembles modern-day alligators. Their poor stamina regen encourages slow gameplay that offers occasion hunts. If a dinosaur chooses to drink at a freshwater source where a Deinosuchus is lurking the Deinosuchus can use its lunge attack to grab the dinosaur and drown it underwater. The Deinosuchus has poor stamina but lots of health and is feared by most players. It dramatically influences where they choose to drink and fill their water capacity. This dinosaur is quite short for its size and at the subadult growth stage has enough stamina to run onto land and grab unsuspecting players. In less populated regions Deinosuchus are often forced to walk onto land and find carcasses to eat. This leaves them exposed to the slightly quicker Stegosaurus. Deinosuchus tend to stick in small groups to defend each other. Due to Deinosuchus being on its own diet cannibalism is a risk and teaming with others drastically increases your chances of survival. The Deinosuchus is not a dinosaur for the impatient as most of their time is spent lurking under the water waiting for others to walk by, attempt to drink from, or even cross the water formation. The Deinosuchus is an EVRIMA-exclusive carnivore that makes use of water that has previously always been safe to drink from. The Deinosuchus' ability and environment creates a new mechanic many senior players are eager to play.
The Dryosaurus is a small, agile herbivore. It has a special dodge ability making it able to swerve to the side in a way other dinosaurs cannot. The Dryosaurus is quite speedy and can escape most larger predators as well as having a bite able to threaten or even kill younger ones. The Dryosaurus is extremely weak on its own as it has a small health pool. However, Dryosaurus has a large stamina and can run for long amounts of time without tiring out. It is rare to see Dryosaurus with a group of other herbivores far. They shield behind others for protection as they are without their own. This group may be of many other Dryosaurs or herbivores of different species. The Dryosaurus has an easily recognizable, loud call that can be heard from quite far. The Dryosaurus is generally a happy, energetic being as they are given high speed and stamina but low damage. The Dryosaurus' diet is divided between coastal and plain environments. In the plains, the Dryosaurus thrives but it is hunted frequently by Utahraptors and Carnotaurs who also make this their home. In coastal hills, the Dryosaurus has access to fewer diets but is rarely hunted due to the coastal biome's unpopularity. The Dryosaurus has a short lifespan and is played if the player desires a small herbivore with good statistics for its grow time.
The Hypsilophodon is both the smallest and the most agile dinosaur in The Isle. It was released in the EVRIMA branch and though quite useless has gotten quick a reputation. The Hypsilophodon is able to be killed quite easily by all other playables and has few things going for it. This dinosaur does however have incredible stamina and speed in relation to others of its size. Its diet is spread evenly throughout the map and it is not difficult for the Hypsilophodon to meet its needs. Most players play Hypsilophodon due to its lack of growth when spawned from the menu. This playable spawns as a full adult and the only way to experience its growth cycle is through being nested by other players. Due to their large clutch sizes Hypsilophodons enjoy nesting and creating large groups. Their growth is extremely quick and creating a giant herd is surprisingly simple. The Hypsilophodon depends on either its speed or other, larger herbivores when faced with a threat. The Hypsilophodon cannot defend itself from any common predator and is forced to flee. In combat where others are present the Hypsilophodon acts as support with its spit ability. This ability temporarily blinds other players for several seconds if they wait it out or otherwise rub their faces to rid them of the debuff quicker. The Hypsilophodon is a small herbivore with a short growth time that is useful in large group settings as a tiny yet powerful helper.
The Pteranodon is a light carnivore and the only current dinosaur in The Isle with the ability to fly. It feeds mostly on fish and small plain or coastal animals. In addition to attacking small AI the Pteranodon is known to soar above players and bite them. If played correctly this can actually end up severely wounding or killing another player. The Pteranodon lives in the skies where its only threats are others or anything that can jump. Through this tactic many raptors have learned to leap upwards and snatch Pteranodons from the air. Pteranodons are mostly solitary dinosaurs but may gather in small groups in more player-dense areas. The Pteranodon has a painful stamina drain while ascending and slowly falls over time while gliding. While soaring over bodies of water the Pteranodon can open its beak and attempt to catch fish. This may either end in a tasty meal for the pterosaur or becoming said meal to a lurking Deinosuchus. This dinosaur has the ability to latch onto trees or rocks; though it does not gain stamina it does provide a safe location. The Pteranodon has a short grow time and often equally short lifespan. These dinosaurs are played consistently to reduce boredom through the harassment of other dinosaurs...
