Rhythm (Jazz) Tap dance focuses on the rhythm and sounds the tap shoe makes. A rhythm tapper is also known as a hoofer. There usually isn't a lot of music played because the music and the rhythm comes from the dancers feet. The dancer makes rhythms by doing different steps with the taps on the heel and toe of their tap shoes. Rhythm tap often tends to be more grounded and often incorporates choreographed movement of body parts other than the feet.
