Kurt Cobain was the Lead guitarist in Nirvana and he was their vocalist.  Kurt had an unusual singing style but it fit well into his songs, he also had a raspier voice that had a good range. His voice was a big part of why Nirvana had found such early success. He was previously in a band called "Fecal Mater" which was one of his many joke bands, and he also had his own band with only himself. Sadly Kurt Cobain faced a serious drug addiction his whole life, he used many hard substances often over the course of many years. On April 5, 1995 Kurt Cobain unfortunately took his own life. Dave Grohl was the drummer for Nirvana from 1990-1994 but was still a major reason for their successes. Many people know Dave to be their favorite drummer and even musician. Nirvana was not his only band he was apart of as-well. Prior to Nirvana he was in a band called Scream, after they broke up was when he joined the group. Later into the band's years, Dave couldn't handle the pressure of performing well and of Kurt Cobain, he nearly quit the band but decided to stay. When Kurt Cobain passed away, the band broke up and they had to move on. Only a few months later (6 Months) Dave created the very popular band Foo Fighters and created their first record. Krist Novoselic was the Bassist for Nirvana. He was the Co-founder along with Kurt Cobain. Krist was crucial to Nirvana but yet didn't get much recognition. He is one of the lesser known members of Nirvana. Krist has been a part of many bands but in recent years has transitioned to a political figure. He founded the Cascade Party of Washington. To qualify as a political party he campaigned to be president. He gathered very little votes as expected. Rather than using his fame to party or do other things he decided to use it for good.
