Many different groups have been inspired by them to make the music that they do. The band was formed in 1987 by the late Kurt Cobain and Krist Novoselic. The band has rotated through many different drummers but their main drummer was Dave Grohl. Nirvana has only released 3 studio albums and one of those is diamond, one is 6x platinum, and the last one is a gold album (certified by RIAA).
